Assistant Professor - Southeast Asian Literature and Culture
Position Description The Department of Asian Languages and Literatures, University of Washington, Seattle, invites applications for an Assistant Professor with a teaching and research emphasis on modern Southeast Asian literature and culture, beginning Autumn 2021. The scholar will conduct research in one or more languages of Southeast Asia, with focus on modern literature, or visual or popular cultures with a strong textual component. The University of Washington teaches Burmese, Indonesian, Khmer, Tagalog/Filipino, Vietnamese, and Thai. The candidate will join a vibrant campus community of students and scholars of Southeast Asia.
