Middle School History Teacher
Summary of the Position:  The Montgomery Academy is seeking a middle school history teacher to teach critical events in early U.S. history including the origins of the United States and the fundamental principles on which the nation was founded. The course takes a topical and thematic approach that covers colonial America up to the Civil War with an introduction to the U.S. Constitution and the American system of government. Other topics include the rise of political parties, and the growing tension between national power and states’ rights. A typical class load consists of teaching five sections.
