Assistant Professor of History
The Hood College Department of History invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professorship or advanced assistant professorship in African American history to begin Fall 2022. Candidates with prior teaching experience at the college/university level may be considered for an abbreviated tenure and promotion timeline. The successful candidate will teach survey courses and a broad range of upper-level courses in African American cultural, social, and intellectual history. Additionally, the candidate will be part of the African American Studies Program. The ability to teach the survey course in U.S. history since 1877, as well as other courses in modern U.S. history, is required.
