Visiting Instructor of Growth and Structure of Cities
The Department of Growth and Structure of Cities at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a part-time Visiting Instructor to teach one course each semester for the 2023-2024 academic year as an Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) within a liberal arts framework. This course should present core concepts in geospatial analysis, helping students develop skills in posing questions, examining pertinent data sources, and mapping spatial distributions. It should guide students to become proficient with basic GIS file management and vector operations and to become familiar with introductory raster operations, as well as with a variety of publicly available data sources.
