ELA/Humanities Middle School Teacher (Upper School Gr 6/7/8)
The Humanities teacher will need to have a strong background in teaching to thedevelopmental needs of middle school students. Not only will the Humanities teacher beexpected to cover elements of reading, analysis, writing and grammar, this teacher willalso need to have a strong teaching background in historical, cultural and religiousstudies. The goal of the Humanities curriculum is to build students’ skills not only inlanguage-related areas, but the Humanities teacher will also need to facilitate a successfulblend of these elements in a comprehensive and age-appropriate curriculum along withincluding visual arts when appropriate to give middle school students a strong foundationin oral and written expression as well as historical and cult
