The Department of Sociology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville will be hiring at least two Lecturers, and invites applications, beginning August 1, 2023. This is a one-year position, renewable indefinitely, contingent on performance and funding.  We seek a scholar who can teach introductory level courses in Sociology as well as upper division inequality, race, gender, environmental sociology, criminology or political economy courses from a critical perspective.  Applicants will be expected to teach four undergraduate courses each in Fall and Spring semesters.  Salary is $45,000 for two semesters, paid over twelve months, plus benefits, the opportunity to teach additional classes for pay, and with the opportunity for promotion.  We are particularly interested in candidates who can
