Position Summary: The Department of Latino and Caribbean Studies at Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey in New Brunswick, seeks to hire a one-year full time non-tenure track instructor to teach Caribbean colonial, national and migration histories and cultures. The candidate will be required to teach our interdisciplinary introduction to Caribbean studies, courses at the 200 level in Caribbean history (Slavery, Caribbean before 1898, Caribbean since 1898, Caribbean and the US), and more advanced thematic courses on Individual national histories and cultures (Cuba, DR, Haiti, Jamaica, etc.) and 312 topics courses on Caribbean themes (migration or diasporas; Economic development; Race Relations; Caribbean Societies; Caribbean Cultures).
