Open Rank Faculty Member in African-American Studies Join our community and experience Emerson College! The Marlboro Institute for Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies (MILAIS) invites applications for a tenure-line open rank position in African-American studies. A Ph.D. in History and/or Africana Studies is required. The candidate will teach African-American history from the colonial period to the present and contribute to the minors offered through the Marlboro Institute. Candidates with research and teaching focus in the areas of Black Disability Studies, Carceral Studies, Black Queer Studies, or other innovative areas of study are especially encouraged to apply. The appointment begins August 22, 2024 with a mandatory 2-day orientation August 22 &
