Description: We seek to hire a full-time Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in Social Psychology or the History and Philosophy of Science, with preference given to a candidate with training in (1) social perception and/or social cognition or (2) History & Philosophy of cognitive, neural, and/or behavioral Sciences (preferred candidates with a PhD in philosophy will have a science background).
The candidate would have significant opportunities to contribute to the hands-on, experiential (data science collection), and transformational learning foundational to Baylor's academic strategic plan.
Expectations for the position include:
Teaching two, 3-hour courses (or the equivalent of 6 total hours) in the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core in each of the fall and spring semesters.
A willingness to collaborate in team teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
A significant research and publication agenda.
Collegial involvement in program, college and university events and service.

Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in Social Psychology or the History and Philosophy of Science is required.
The successful candidate will be expected to research and publish in their disciplinary/sub-disciplinary area and participate in program, college, and university service at levels appropriate to time served and/or rank.
The preferred candidate is expected to contribute to interdisciplinary teaching across two replacement core sequences in our program: Natural World and Social World (a complete listing of BIC course sequences can be found here).
