Description: This is a temporary position with full-time responsibilities teaching courses in the Department of Sociology during the 2024-2025 academic year. Teaching assignment will include Social Inequality, at least two sections of Introduction to Sociology, and possible other undergraduate courses in the department. Employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Qualifications: The successful applicant must hold an advanced degree in the teaching discipline, preferably the Ph.D., but ABD will be considered. Teaching experience is preferred. Applicants for full-time teaching positions will be asked to provide a statement of religious faith demonstrating understanding and compatibility with Baylors mission.
(3) an official transcript of the highest degree completed (if a Ph.D. or other advanced degree is in progress, a transcript showing hours completed toward the Ph.D. is also required),
(4) a statement of religious faith,
(5) teaching portfolio, and
(6) three contact references.
These items are to be submitted via Interfolio. Finalist(s) will be invited for an interview with the department and university administration.
