TENURE TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION IN STATISTICS
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in the Fall of 2020.
The successful candidate should have a PhD in statistics, biostatistics or data sciences and is expected to maintain an active independent research program with a strong potential for obtaining external funding, teach graduate and undergraduate courses with a commitment to excellence in teaching, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute to the service component of the department, university, and profession.

UMBC is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a Research University with high research activity (RU/H). It is located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor near major medical schools The statistics faculty at UMBC actively interact with federal agencies such as the Census Bureau, FDA, NIH and EPA, that afford extensive opportunities for research collaboration.
