The Political Science Department at Brown University seeks applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Quantitative Research Methods (any subfield). The position is for one year (non-renewable) and carries a four-course teaching load. Candidates must have completed the PhD by July 1, 2025.
Candidates should submit a cover letter identifying their primary teaching and research interests as well as a current CV, writing sample, graduate transcript, teaching evaluations, and three confidential letters of reference.
Scholars from outside the United States are appointed under J-1 visas (exchange visitors status) only.
The Political Science Department is interested in qualified candidates who have demonstrated commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research or service toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.
Review of applications will begin on February 15, 2025; but applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The position start date is July 1, 2025.
PhD in political science or related social science discipline by the position start date.
