The Brailsford College of Arts and Sciences at Prairie View A&M University invites applications for the position for tenure-track Assistant Professor of History within the Department of Social Sciences.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching History courses.

• Engaging actively in research and publication while seeking grants.

• Advising and mentoring students.

• Serving on Division, College and University committees.

Required Education and Experience:

• A Ph.D. In History, or a related field

• Prior teach experience is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications

• Admissions functions of higher education

• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
