The Department of Psychology at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for a full-time, 3-year renewable lecturer position beginning in Fall 2023. The successful applicant will be expected to teach 30 credit hours of coursework, or the equivalent, during the academic year. Possible courses include introductory psychology, statistics, research methods, and core courses in history and systems, social, cognitive, lifespan, and abnormal psychology. Teaching an advanced writing-intensive seminar or specialty course is also possible. Specific course assignments will be negotiated subsequent to hiring.

Required:
Exceptional ABD candidates in a relevant area of Psychology with a firm completion date
Ph.D. in any relevant area of psychology is preferred
Demonstrated successes or potential in the domain of college teaching and the ability to teach a broad array of courses are essential for this position.
