The Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach an introductory-level course in Acting in the fall semester 2025 and spring semester 2026. Introduction to Acting is a basic course aimed at enhancing self-confidence and creative expression. This course will emphasize skills of concentration, imagination, control, awareness, motivation and storytelling. Through exercises in voice, movement, improvisation and monologue/scene work, students will strengthen their confidence, physical and mental skills of performance technique (as applicable to their artistic, academic, professional, and personal lives).
