As a Full-Time Exempt Director of Upward Bound/Educational Talent Search,you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all aspects of Umpqua Community College's pre-college TRIO programs. These programs, funded through the Department of Education, provide college assistance, career exploration, and academic support services to 650 students at six high schools and six middle schools in Douglas County. The director is responsible for maintaining relationships with high school staff; monitoring an annual budget of at least $546,000; ensuring all grant objectives are met; planning interesting and engaging curriculum; and supervising a staff of five full-time employees, summer adjunct faculty, tutors, and work study students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Education, Behavioral and/or Social Science or related field required.
Proven experience in supervision, fiscal, and/or program management required.
Demonstrated sensitivity and experience working with students and/or individuals from diverse social, economic, ethnic, academic, and cultural backgrounds required.
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
Experience with college or high school advising/counseling or teaching preferred
Experience with a TRIO program or other educational equity program preferred.
