Position Information: Reporting to the Communications Director of Research & Economic Development, the Marketing and Events Specialist is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and managing a comprehensive program of marketing initiatives. The incumbent must be a hands-on team player who acts as an able advisor to RED departments with the skills to write, edit, layout and proof brochures, newsletters and other publications in support of the teaching, research and service missions of the organization. Finally, as a coordinator for all types of communications, the Marketing and Events Specialist will represent RED at events, meetings or other activities related to RED initiatives.
The full salary range for the Marketing Specialist is $56,000 - $96,400 annually. However, the budgeted salary range for this position is $56,000 - $76,200 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Organizational skills to effectively monitor and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and tasks
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel.
Ability to work independently and able to problem solve.
Strong follow up skills to keep tasks and projects moving.
