The Department of Biological Sciences seeks to recruit a Lecturer with expertise in Applied Molecular Biology to lead an intensive, hands-on Master’s degree program. This is a non-tenure track, 9-month appointment with an opportunity for promotion to a more senior lecturer position. The successful applicant will be expected to manage and teach a rigorous molecular biology laboratory at the graduate level, build collaborations with research faculty, mentor graduate students, and supervise individual laboratory-based projects; they may also teach or assist with other courses in molecular genetics, modern experimental approaches in biology, or computational methods at the upper-undergraduate or graduate level. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. degree with fluent knowledge of current molecular biology and protein-based techniques. Postdoctoral experience is preferred. Experience in college-level teaching, including laboratory courses required, and the candidate should have experience with current methods for encouraging student engagement, assessing learning, and evaluating technical writing.

Salary:
Salary Range: $52,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience
