St. David’s School in Raleigh, NC, seeks an accomplished, collaborative educator to teach Middle School Global History who is a lover of middle school students who is passionate about history. Candidates should inspire intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning from the past, support students in the development of faith and virtue, and equip students to become confident speakers and writers. Candidates should be gifted in the art of fostering a joy of learning, while also challenging students to grow in the areas of speaking, reading and writing. The position also involves advising a small group of students throughout the school year and investing in the middle school community through the context of athletics, fine arts, and clubs.
Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in History Education, Elementary Education, Middle Grades Education, History, or a similar field. Ideal candidates will have three or more years experience teaching middle school and a Master's degree in education or history.
