ABOUT BERRY MEN&#39;S LACROSSE

The Berry College men&#39;s lacrosse program was started in 2011. Berry College is an NCAA Division III program with membership in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA). The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for and commitment to the NCAA, Southern Athletic Association (SAA), and institutional culture. Along with coaching responsibilities, the candidate will be assigned administrative responsibilities in the Department of Athletics.

The candidate will have experience in creating campus and community support for the men&#39;s lacrosse team and its athletes, in addition to continuing to build upon the tradition of competitive athletic programs. Bachelor&#39;s degree required; Master&#39;s degree preferred. Previous coaching on the NCAA Division III collegiate level is preferred.

								<description>Savannah, Georgia,  As an assistant equestrian coach, you will attend athletic department, student services, and staff meetings. You will participate in team shows when requested or teach at home while the head coach is traveling. Responsibilities include assisting with all SCAD athletic paperwork, updating rosters, and encouraging all athletes to complete their media forms. Among other duties, you will review student grades, organize all aspects of tryouts, and categorize new student rider levels and history. Additional responsibilities include lesson eligibility form completion, student status verification before add/drop week, and the organization of student lesson schedules. You will also verify, track, and update Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) and American National Riding Commission (ANRC) eligibility for the fall and winter quarters.

In this role, you will act as head coach for SCAD Summer Seminar sessions, provide private lessons for students and clients as needed, and organize tours of equestrian facilities. You will manage team sports information and social media, travel to all horse shows &#8212; including approximately 16 different events throughout the season &#8212; and attend team yoga training sessions when available. Responsibilities include the organization of scheduled horse workout times, the identification of needs and requests, and the oversight of vaccination and maintenance procedure records. Among other duties, you will assist with training team and client horses and liaise with veterinarians and grooms on horses&#39; rehabilitation to track progress. This includes oversight of weekly care charts and maintenance data.  

In this position, you will organize all aspects of the Tournament of Champions and SCAD&#8217;s participation in IHSA horse shows. You will source specific show prizes and competition ribbons for all 32 classes in the show, organize show set up &#8212; including equipment assignment  (e.g., saddles, saddle pads, leg bandages, and boots) &#8212; and copy all courses designed for competition into digital formats. Important aspects of this position involve the maintenance of horse information sheets and schedules for competitors and handlers. You will also ensure that all post-competition horse care is completed. Among other duties, you will coordinate show and event results, register all team members through the intercollegiate website with individual signatures, and research and print new student riding histories, including recognized show records.

As an assistant coach, you will assist with all organization aspects of ANRC shows and reach out to industry professionals to acquire additional show horses as needed. You will arrange the shipping of horses to competition locations and finalize all travel details, including team hotels, cars, and air travel, for recruitment and events. Among other duties, you will book charter buses and order team lunches with specific dietary restrictions. Additionally, you will review all eligibility requirements, assist with fundraising, and liaise with student referrals and the SCAD Giving department. In tandem with the embroidery/screen printing company, you will ensure the quality of team logos and will then order competition shirts through top line show companies.

In this role, you will also source, order, and organize the team clothing inventory. This includes caps, workout shirts, polo shirts, leggings, three-quarter zips, shorts, long sleeve training shirts, zip-ups, and winter jackets. Orders for belts and practice shirts will be placed specifically to reputable equestrian wear companies. You will maintain the organization of show coats, organized by size, and ensure they are signed out at each competition. Additionally, you will ensure all 63 SCAD-owned horses are outfitted for students to ride, including bridles, saddles, martingales, blinders, girths, half-pads, gel pads, leg bandages, and leg boots.

Minimum qualifications: 
10 years of riding experience
Excellent interpersonal skills with athletes 

Preferred qualifications:
Budget management experience
High school and college competition experience

Travel required:  
Less than 10%

The successful candidate will assist the head coach in the organization and management of a competitive NCAA Division III women&#39;s soccer program, including serving as the head coach for the William Smith Soccer Development Team and the Recruiting Coordinator for the entire WS soccer program.  The William Smith Soccer program is comprised of two teams- varsity and development. The position responsibilities will include recruiting prospective students; teaching and coaching student-athletes for successful competition; supporting student-athletes&#39; academic success; player development; cultivating alumni and parent relations; team travel planning; administrative tasks; and other duties as assigned.  Essential Responsibilities:   Development Team Head Coach:    In consultation with the head coach, design and implement the philosophy of the development team to be integrated into all practices and games, fitting within the overall philosophy of the William Smith soccer program. This includes all match-day preparation, lineup decisions and in-game adjustments   Hold at least one DT specific team film session a week, when applicable   Build and execute development team practice and game schedule, with approval from head coach.   Lead all communication and practice planning for development team   Manage all travel logistics, equipment needs, and supervision of any volunteer assistant coaches for development team   Integrate mental skills into training, teach focus skills, improve communication and create an environment that promotes strong team chemistry   Operate digital platforms to develop training, practice and game plans   Maintain an exemplary standard of conduct, which reflects the highest level of professionalism and good judgment   Be knowledgeable of and compliant with all institutional, department, NCAA and conference policies, rules and regulations     Recruiting:   Serve as the recruiting coordinator for William Smith soccer- varsity and development teams alongside all other staff members   Effectively recruit prospective student-athletes under the direction of the head coach and consistent with the mission of HWS.  Qualifications 
Bachelor&#39;s degree required; master&#39;s degree preferred.  A minimum of 2-4 years of soccer coaching experience at the college-level strongly preferred. A minimum of 4-5 years of combined coaching/playing experience at the college level required.  Candidates must demonstrate strong potential to teach, lead and counsel college student-athletes and have enthusiasm for the recruiting duties of the position.  The candidate must be a person of integrity, high ethical standards, have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.  The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy and mission of William Smith Athletics.  Competence with technology resources and a current U.S. driver&#39;s license are vital to fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.  CPR and First Aid certification required (may be obtained at HWS).

 Education and Experience

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Head Coach for Diving; The Head Coach for diving will assist with all aspects of the recruiting process; help mentor student-athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth; assists in gathering, preparing and presenting scouting materials; assists with film exchange; assists in practice planning and skill development; assists with team travel; assists with purchasing/inventory of equipment; assists in organization of sport camps; coordinates visiting team requests; compiles and maintain statistical information; supervises student managers and other ancillary personnel; coordinates team community service; represents Head Coach at events when required; performs requested responsibilities with booster club; assists with fund raising; ensures availability for media requests; adheres to all University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations while promoting the core values and strategic goals of intercollegiate athletics. 
 
 Coordinate the recruitment and retention of prospective student athletes including prospect evaluation, prospect selection, off campus evaluation, on and off campus visits, and contacts (phone calls, letters, e-mail, etc.). 
 Assist with the mentoring of student athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth; assist Head Coach in establishing and enforcing rules of conduct and team policies. 
 Gather, prepare, and present scouting materials. 
 Assist with the organization and planning for home events, practice planning, skill development of student athletes, and game day strategy. 
 Assist with the organization and planning of team travel and the purchasing, inventory, care, and storage of equipment. 
 Assist with the planning, organization, execution, and staffing of sport camps. 
 Coordinate visiting team requests, such as practice, hotel accommodations, meals, etc. 
 Assist with former athlete and alumni relations. 
 Assist with the compilation and maintenance of statistical information. 
 May independently supervise student managers, volunteer coaches, undergraduate coaches and other ancillary personnel. 
 When required, represent Head Coach at intercollegiate athletics, alumni, and University events. 
 Assist with the oversight and management of booster clubs and team and athletic fundraising efforts. 
 Assist with the management and response to media requests. 
 Adhere to University, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
