Reporting to the Head of Upper School, this position combines dynamic classroom instruction with collaborative departmental leadership. The successful candidate will teach a range of mathematics courses, including Geometry, Precalculus, and potentially Calculus, while also leading the Mathematics Department with vision and collaboration.

 

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree, qualifying them to offer dual-credit courses through our collegiate partner. Strong candidates will demonstrate inspirational leadership, the ability to motivate and guide students, and the flexibility to support individual learning needs while maintaining high academic standards. • Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics preferred; bachelor’s degree in Math, Education, or a related field required.
• Experience leading teams in an educational setting.
• Teaching experience preferred, especially experience at the Upper School or college level.
• Experience designing and implementing a balanced, sequential, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Commitment to collaboration with instructors in other academic areas.
• Ability to work cooperatively and diplomatically with students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including composing and proofreading.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities.
• Ability to use applicable computer programs and technology.
• Ability to engage students in learning.
• Enthusiasm for field of study.
