The Ramaz School is seeking a Lower School Art Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year for Pre-K through Fourth Grade.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
Plan and implement motivating lessons in art that reflect knowledge of curriculum and students’ interests and abilities.
Create a learning environment that is creative, challenging, and age appropriate.
Collaborate with the Lower School Art teacher to help ensure alignment in the K-4 curricular experience, updating curriculum and materials as needed.
Collaborate and innovate with colleagues, across disciplines, to further develop curriculum and design interdisciplinary projects/units of study.
Possess the ability to incorporate social-emotional learning and 21st century skills in the classroom, including a desire to meaningfully integrate technology into the classroom.
Implement classroom procedures and behavioral management routines
Assess students' performance, including academic, behavioral, and social-emotional, and prepare student progress reports that include narrative descriptions of students' achievements, growth, passions, and areas in need of support.
Engage respectfully with families and demonstrate sensitivity to cultures, values, and beliefs.
Participate in the school community, including faculty meetings and learning events.
The Lower School Art Teacher should be a forward-thinking and passionate educator, with a bachelor’s degree or higher in art or an education-related field, who understands the mission of the Ramaz School.
