UNC Charlotte faculty, students and cultural leaders also engage with the Arts & Science Council of Charlotte-Mecklenburg (ASC). The ASC works to ensure Culture For All by providing advocacy, cultural education programs and planning, fundraising, grant making, public art, and workshops and trainings for the community. More than 100 organizations in the arts, science, history and heritage disciplines are considered Cultural Partners and they, in addition to a range of emerging and established professional artists, benefit from vital support and resources through the ASC.

The seven broad objectives of the Diversity Plan are:

3: Increase the recruitment of underrepresented faculty and advance their progression through the faculty ranks.

6: Develop external relationships with the community to enhance diversity on and off campus.
