Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Responsible for providing didactic, pre-doctoral curriculum including Integrated Curricular Sciences. Pacific faculty engage in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Responsibilities to may include any of the following:
I. Teaching Curriculum
Instruction in the Integrated Curricular Sciences course. Participate in outcomes assessment, including student and peer evaluation, to improve curricular content and presentation.

II. Collaboration and Service
Engage broadly in other school, university, professional, and community service opportunities.
In addition to the traditional expectations for faculty members, the culture of humanism and collaboration is especially important.
Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of:
Restorative and preventive information and techniques
Dental materials and emerging digital applications to clinical restorative treatment
Education:
DDS/DMD or international equivalent from an accredited dental school program
Licenses/Certifications
Active license to practice dentistry
Valid CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to:
Communicate effectively with a diverse population of patients. students, staff, faculty and administration.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Work effectively in a group setting.
Reflect, self-assess, and think critically.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
Demonstrate professional judgment in all situations.
Experience:
Previous teaching or practice experience is preferred
Minimum of one year practice experience preferred
Other:
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Faculty should have sufficient motor function to execute movements essential to teaching and demonstration.
Must be able to operate controls, use high-speed or low-speed dental handpieces for tooth preparation procedures, and use hand instrumentation including scalpels for surgical procedures.
