Job Description:
Falk College seeks a part-time instructor to teach SWK 714 M001 Supervision, Consultation and Staff Development (3 credits) in the Summer 2025 (5/19/2025-6/27/25) semester. Course Description: Functions, methods, and techniques of supervision and consultation within an organizational context. Design, implementation, and evaluation of staff development programs. Emphasis on overcoming barriers to multicultural groups and enhancing staff morale, motivation, and effectiveness.
Additional Course Description: Research shows that the quality of an organization's supervision and management has the greatest impact on social work staff job satisfaction, quality of work, morale, and staff development. This course examines the organizational context of administrative, education, and supportive social work supervision, staff development, and consultation. The course aims to introduce students to the principles, methods, and techniques of social work supervision. Emphasis is on enhancing staff motivation, morale, and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
An MSW with previous graduate-level social work teaching experience is preferred.
Candidate must have 2 years post-masters experience.

Preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.

Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner.
Completion and submission of CSWE competency-based student outcomes for department assessment/accreditation.
Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
