Assistant Professor of History
Oglethorpe University invites applications for a tenure-track position in history at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory history courses as well as upper-division courses in their specialty. We are open to all fields, with a preference given to candidates whose expertise enables them to teach African and African American History. Candidates with multi/interdisciplinary, interregional, and transnational expertise that spans different historical periods, regions, or academic disciplines and who can demonstrate a readiness to develop courses beyond their area of specialty will be especially valued.
