The Michigan State University Department of Economics seeks qualified candidates for the following Fixed Term position: Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to teach students in economics and economics-related courses, with rank determined by degree and years of experience. Duties include: preparing the course; holding lectures; reviewing and grading assignments; advising students; submitting final grades; upholding departmental teaching standards; communicating with departmental leadership to ensure that the courses are completed appropriately.
Appointment level will be made commensurate with degree and experience.

Minimum Requirements

Fixed Term Instructor: Masters’ in Economics or closely related field required.
Fixed Term Assistant Professor: PhD in Economics or closely related field required.
Fixed Term Associate Professor: PhD in Economics or closely related field required.
Successful candidates must have demonstrated dedication to instruction and an ability to inspire students with his or her enthusiasm.
Desired Qualifications
We prefer candidates that have experience teaching the subject matter of the course and with teaching students that are at the level of the course (typically undergraduate students or masters students). Applicants may inquire about the specific courses that are being staffed at the time of their application.
