Job Description:
The Department of Drama within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach DRA 125 Introduction to Acting I for Majors, a three credit hour course, during the Fall semester, 2025.
Foundational acting techniques with an emphasis on: vocal, physical, and emotional relaxation; concentration, and dramatic action. The course includes work on consent and draws heavily upon an inclusive range of work from diverse artists. This position is to teach a twelve-day large group movement social dance module.

Qualifications:
Seeking a qualified individual who can teach a large group movement social dance module for Swing Dance and Latin Social Dance, specifically Salsa. Instructor would need to be available for 12 80-minute class sessions.
In addition:
Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments.
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
Meeting all designated class periods. If you are unable to meet your class due to illness or emergency, you should exercise your best effort to reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute. You must also notify the department chair of your absence and of your plan to cover the class.
Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
Job Specific Qualifications:
Experience with dance instruction.
Responsibilities:
Lead a classroom of up to 30 students, with the assistance of the lead teacher in social dance styles for a 12-day module equaling 1.5 credit hours.
